Is Fonty's Pool pet friendly?

Fonty's Pool is pet friendly throughout the year except Peak Periods including all future bookings staying 2024 including Christmas through New Year's and parts of January, the Australia Day LWE, Labour Day LWE, Easter, Anzac, June LWE, Sept LWE and Truffle Kerfuffle.

Until this time pets are not permitted for the Feb/March, June or Sept long weekend. We do not allow pets to stay in our chalets, but if you are camping, caravaning or are in one of our Standard Cabins feel free to bring your pet along. For more information see our pet policy here.

Pets are not allowed inside the fenced Pool area.

Is the pool open to the public?

Yes the pool is open to the public between 9am and 5pm daily. There is an entrance fee of $4 for non-park patrons who are both swimmers and non-swimmers. Pets are not allowed in the fenced pool grounds or water.

Is the Caravan Park and Pool open all year round?

The Caravan Park and Pool closes from July 1 and re-opens September 1.

Can we book online?

Yes - The easiest way to book directly with us or check availability is to go through our online booking system. If you would rather talk directly to one of our team members send an email enquiry and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternatively you can give the office a call on 08 9771 2105 between 9am to 5pm daily and speak to someone about availability and pricing. 

What type of camping and caravan sites are there available at Fontys?

Most of our powered sites are large, flat and grassy with the exception of the sites along the back fence having concert slab on them that people enjoy if they are in a caravan. These are still surrounded by grass. Our unpowered area is unallocated which enables groups to pitch together or find a space that suits there set up best. Find site description here.

What facilities are available at the Caravan Park?

On site we have two campers kitchen; our main one decked out with BBQ's, a fridge, gas stove tops, a toaster and kettle as well as a big open fire [seasonal] and picnic tables. Our amenities block is recently refurbished and include three three showers and three toilets in both the mens and ladies as well as ensuite family rooms and a disabled toilet and shower. There is a laundry with multiple commercial washers and dryers as well as a clothes line. The playground has also just been upgraded and now features a tractor, boat and obstacle course. The pool area is seconds away from the caravan park and provides the perfect spot to hang out during the warmer months, there is a BBQ poolside for your convenience, pool tubes and a diving platform to keep you occupied in the fresh water pool. 

Can we bring a generator?

No - there is a strict NO generator policy in the Caravan Park so if you do require power you must book a powered site.

Can we bring our kayaks to use in the pool?

We do not allow hard bottom floating devices in the pool but if you want to bring them down there is Big Brook Dam and other water bodies that you can go and explore in the surrounding area. Blow up boats, swans and other pool toys are encouraged and can be taken into Fontys Pool.

What does it mean by shoulder season?

On our pricing listed under accommodation there are three different prices. Off-Peak is all non-school holidays. Shoulder season is applicable through school holidays that do not fall between the 23rd of December to the 31st January. During this time, as well as long weekends, peak rates apply. 

Do you allow caravans in your NON-POWERED area over peak periods? 

Caravans are permitted in our non-powered area over Peak periods. We have a limited number of caravan sites in the unpowered. These sites must be booked with prior approval from management.

How many people can we have on one site?

There is a maximum of 6 people allowed to stay on each site with one piece of equipment (i.e tent or caravan etc.) and one car. If you have a larger group than this you must book multiple sites. 

What if I test positive for Covid before or on my stay?

We encourage safe practices of hand sanitization and physical distancing. Any symptomatic guests are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing around the park.

We understand that a positive result is both disappointing and inconvenient, however the health and safety of all concerned is extremely important. We highly recommend that you take out travel insurance that covers covid-related issues at least 21 days prior to travel.
